Obverse: A composition depicting the portrait of the Cypriot poet with circular inscription from left to right of the phrase “ΒΑΣΙΛΗΣ ΜΙΧΑΗΛΙΔΗΣ ΠΟΙΗΤΗΣ 1849-1917”. The coin’s nominal value of €5 is also depicted.

Reverse:   The Central Bank of Cyprus emblem , the words “ΚΥΠΡΟΣ”, “CYPRUS” and “KIBRIS” and the year “2017”.
