Commemorating the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Port of Eilat. Israel’s “Gateway to the South”.
Obverse: A lighthouse behind a seawall and a swirl of water. The seawall is formed by the word “Eilat” in Hebrew letters. Around the rim, the inscription in Hebrew, “A Decade of Eilat’s Port”.
Reverse: The word “Israel” in Hebrew and Arabic with the dates “1967/5727” in Hebrew and English. In the center, the denomination “5 Israeli Lirot”.
The edge of each coin is inscribed in Hebrew, “Nineteenth Year of the State of Israel”.
